David C. Semler, MD, FAAD

A message from Dr. David Semler:

In 1998 I joined with Dr. Mohney to start Southwest Michigan Dermatology in order to bring the best dermatology office to Southwest Michigan. I prioritize taking the time to listen, evaluate, and customize a treatment plan that benefits each patient. 

Quality patient care is important to me no matter if I am providing medical, surgical, or cosmetic dermatological care. Over the years I have trained extensively in Mohs micrographic surgery. Whether you have skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, or cosmetic needs, I am here to help!

After graduating from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, in 1994, I received my dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1998, I became board-certified in dermatology.

My wife, Colleen and I reside in Portage, Michigan. We have 4 wonderful children. I was born and raised in Ohio before moving to Southwest Michigan. When I am not spending time with my family and beloved grandchild, I am playing sports, golfing, snow skiing, focusing on personal fitness, and traveling.
